Telford

The largest town in Shropshire by area and population. Despite being a new town formed in the 1960s, many communities of Telford date back much further than that, and to this day each area retains its own identity and definition. Known as the 'birthplace of industry', Telford boasts the world-famous Ironbridge - of such importance it is designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
